Mister Freckles
Mister Freckles here. I am a very handsome Llewellyn Setter and I really need your help quickly because my amazing foster Dad has some serious health issues. I’m worried for him cuz my first Mom where I lived for 8 years was 80 years old, she had health issues and that is why I came to SWESR.

I just turned nine so I guess I am technically a senior but if you know my breed, you know I’m still active and I would like an interesting, secure fenced yard to self exercise multiple times a day. I like walking and that might be enough for me but I’m told I am very strong and will need a strong and fit person to walk me. I get very stimulated by things I see on walks and these people at SWESR say they will send me to a dog trainer in Dallas if my new person wants that before I come home.

I will need someone who can give me a routine and confident leadership because otherwise I’ll try to take charge and even though I try, I may not always make the best decisions.

My first Mom crated me and I was fine with that. I promise to be sweet and do my very best to be a good boy for you if you will just give me a chance.
I have not lived with kids so only teenagers or older for me in my new home please.

Cats are very suspicious and I can’t restrain my strong hunting instincts so these overly sensitive rescue people say no cats in my new home, sheesh they are no fun. I love toys, my hedgehog was my favorite toy at my first home. Maybe you have a hedgehog for me?

I live with two other English Setters in my foster home and do very well with them. I would probably be ok as an only dog too, as long as my people are around a lot.

Furniture privileges are important to me, I’ve had that in all of my homes and it makes me feel part of the family to be with you on the furniture.

I am neutered, up to date on vaccinations and tests, microchipped and on heartworm preventative. Are you my person, my everything?
