Southwest English Setter Rescue
Chester is a 4 year old beautiful chestnut Llewellyn Setter who was released to SWESR by a hunter because hunting is not Chester’s thing. He has been with a trainer who describes Chester as a guy who likes to please. He is good with other dogs, but doesn’t need another dog to be content. He likes to run in the yard and then curl up on the couch with his person.
Chester meets people appropriately and has become quite people-oriented. He will need a fenced yard, but no cats. If there is a loud vehicle on the other side of a fence, Chester will run along the fence and bark. He walks well on a leash and doesn’t bark at vehicles while on leash.
Chester is a somewhat selective eater who is always looking for a better meal. His trainer doesn’t indulge this behavior and he will eventually be happy with his kibble.
Chester is fully vetted and ready for his foster-to-adopt or adoptive home. He is currently with our trainer near Houston, TX.
