This beautiful doe-eyed girl is part of the 17 Junction Jazz dogs rescued from a hoarding situation in Texas. We knew the dogs got along with other dogs but not much else about them. Thankfully she was heartworm negative and now  she’s been spayed, fully vetted and she is doing great in her foster home!! She’s gaining needed weight and is eating well. She is an orange girl with light ticking and adorable spots on her ears. You can see the joy in her face when she runs full blast in her foster home yard, something she was not able to do before rescue.

Etta had surgery on her left eye for entropion, a condition where the eyelashes grow back toward the eye and irritate the cornea. Her eye healed well, her sutures were removed and there should be no issues in the future. She was very tolerant of her eyedrops and wearing a cone while she healed.

Etta's age is estimated at 2 years young and she is learning about all the joys of being a house dog. She eats twice a day, gets many bathroom breaks and is having fun learning to check out the TV and all the squeaky toys. She is doing very well with her house training but will need to be monitored in a new environment since she has never lived in a house before now. She loves to run in the yard and play. She is doing great with the resident dogs and is very smitten with a handsome Staffie that is a rowdy playmate. She would be happiest with another active, congenial dog for a buddy.

Etta has a very soft personality and is not suited for hunting. She is very active but will settle with adequate exercise. She will need at least a 6 foot stockade type fence as she does look for an escape. This is better now that she has a playmate. Etta has not yet been completely cat tested but did back away on her initial cat meeting. She is a flight risk at an open door so only older kids and only homes where all doors and gates are very secure from Setter bolting and not coming back. She is a wonderful sweet happy dog that would be a pleasure for any family to adopt.  Etta is in a foster home in Edmond, OK.
