Teagan is a 2.5 year old beauty who would love to be off and running in your large, securely-fenced yard. She is a “pocket Setter” who weighs about 30 pounds, so she is lap-sized as well. What could be better than a Setter who loves to run and loves to cuddle.
True to her breed, Teagan loves to run hard chasing birds and squirrels, which means she needs a Setter-interesting yard with a secure fence. She is the poster girl for the saying “A tired Setter is a happy Setter.” Teagan needs a very active person. A good size yard is not enough. This girl needs someone that will ideally run, or at least take her on long/fast daily walks. She gets along well with other dogs and likes playing with toys, but if Teagan could make a list the #1 entry would be “Running after birds and squirrels.” Happily, #2 would be “Cuddling with humans.”
Teagan walks well on a leash and is house trained. She has good recall in the yard, but could never be trusted off-leash in an unfenced area. Her foster mom says, “She is really fast!!” She has lived peacefully with the resident cat, but would need supervision and slow acclimation in a home with cats to make sure she would be safe with a new cat. Because of Teagan’s prey-drive, outdoor cats are not an option. Teagan needs a home with Setter or Setter like experience. She needs a home with furniture privileges. Teagan has not been in a home with children, and she is very active, so she is only a candidate for homes with children 7+ years of age.
Teagan is fully-vetted and microchipped. She is currently in a foster home in Houston, TX.
