Dolly is available to adopt and she is also eligible to be a Furever Foster. See the link to the Furever Foster program above.

Dolly is a 10 year old deaf sweetheart. She was found as a stray in Edmond, OK. Once safe in the care of rescue, she spent a week at the vet and is now up to date on vaccinations and spayed. She tested negative for heartworms and is on heartworm preventative.

She must have had a severe flea infestation or a food allergy in the past, as there are parts of her coat, including the base of her tail, that were bare when she was found. Now that the fleas are gone and she is being fed a grain-free diet, these areas are healing nicely and we can't wait to see how well her coat improves. Her coat was also terribly matted in some areas, and once those were removed - we're sure she feels so much better!

Dolly loves to be outside in the yard but also enjoys napping and relaxing inside. She doesn't mind other dogs and doesn't pay attention to cats. She mostly keeps to herself but likes to sit close by for the occasional head scratch. She is her foster mom's little shadow. She watches and follows her people everywhere.

Dolly would do well in a relaxed home that can continue to work with her on hand signals. She would love a place to spend her senior years being doted on and spoiled.

Her current foster home is taking great care of her and she is gaining weight as well as getting her coat back. Please check out the video below... you can see she is getting to be quite 'perky' according to her foster mom. Also, she loves tennis balls!

Dolly is in foster care in Oklahoma City, OK. To inquire about about adopting or becomeing a Furever Foster for Dolly, please contact us or complete an application to adopt.   Dolly's adoption fee is $150.

SWESR would like to thank Dolly's Virtual Foster Verna M. for her numerous generous donations toward Dolly's care.
